After reading Reflections of Social Media And Society, a friend (who happens to be an editor, hat tip to Andy) pointed out that I seemed to be groping. After some further reflection I decided to condense it to it's purist form - something I couldn't do without the longer post before. It clicked a few moments ago, so before I go off to bed I want to get this down (for better or worse). Here it is in bullet form.
