This remix was done for a few reasons, and it was made possible by the original release of the document under a Creative Commons license.
The document can now be interacted by anyone who registers on KnowProSE.com, allowing the document to grow rapidly. Further, references have been added, primarily from the Wikipedia, such that people unfamiliar with the concepts can delve into them further and to also allow derivative translations of the same work to be done more intelligently. A side benefit is that people who are knowledgeable on these topics may become more involved in the Wikipedia itself, thus adding to the growing body of knowledge within it.
Taran Rampersad, who did the remix, did it also because he's involved with CARDICIS and MISTICA, which both deal with cultural and linguistic ICT issues within the Caribbean and Latin America regions. It is hoped that the Latin American and Caribbean region will derive benefit from this document and also contribute to the document, as well as the projects mentioned.
