I had the opportunity to get to the Trade and Investment Convention (TIC), 2008 here in Trinidad and Tobago, and was pleasantly surprised to find a lot of things that suited my own context. There were many other things that were interesting but not contextual for me - things like the Ministry of Energy's massive booth (who talks to them?), the Costa Rican and Brazilian representations (for importers), etc.
TSTT had a massive booth - why, I don't know, but they did. Their subsidiary, bmobile, was handing out windshield glare protectors all over the parking lot (even offering passengers extras).
I stopped here and there, speaking with people and actually having a lot of interesting conversations - a lot more than I have had at past TICs. My focus, however, was on agriculture (which I am beginning to explore) and technology. Separate entries for both coming.
