Foundation for Rich Content Announces New Grant Opportunities for Spring

The Foundation for Rich Content is announcing a change in funding with the development of a granting cycle for large grants. We will be accepting proposals for three grants between February 15 and March 25 (deadline for proposal submissions is March 25, Noon, to be submitted to Persephone Phoenix). Announcements will be made to successful grantees on April 8th with fund dispersals following shortly after.

Available will be one $50,000 Linden grant and two $10,000 Linden grants. The grants should be used to create content that enriches the experiences of residents in SL. Examples would be educational events, arts and cultural events, etc.

We are united in a common goal, which is to foster diversity and richness in content and events in Second Life. It will be our duty to provide the tools and funding necessary to support anyone wishing to host such events or create such content. It will further be our duty to aid in marketing, promotion, public relations and other activities to garner general awareness of such content and events. To apply, cut and paste the following questions into a notecard titled FFRC Funding for (insert last name of contact or name of project here). Then drop the notecard on Persephone Phoenix or feel free to contact any officer for information.

1. What is the name of your project?
2. What are the goals of your project?
3. When and where will the project happen?
4. Is the content/sim PG or mature? (This question may determine what funds are used to fund the project.)
5. Who is the contact for the project?
6. Do you have the rights for the music/art you will be using/showing?
7. How do you expect to use the funds?
8. Are you applying for the 10k, the 50k, or will you take either grant and do the project regardless of the sum granted?

If the application is successful, the applicant will be required to place a small informational sign during the time in which the project occurs. This informational sign credits the FFRC's major donors and gives information about the organization.
