SLBuzz.com - Tracking Stats for SecondLife
This might be old news for some, but it was new news for me (and probably will be for others) - so, via Pasta and Vinegar, I ended up at SLStats.
With a click of my mouse's heels, I was in the SLBuzz store where I snagged my free wristwatch and created my account.
Not a big deal - but in a way, it is on a few different levels which people such as myself were exploring. It's probably no mistake that I ran into Aertisan Fei of Useful Technology (and had an interesting discussion after he left; part of the beauty of SecondLife).
On an individual scale, I suppose something like SLStats isn't that important for some - but it is an interesting way to keep track of friends (and perhaps enemies). It may come in very useful for other things this year as well as the uses of SecondLife become more evolved and less contrived. It will probably evolve itself; at present it is a free beta service - but it seems that there is a lot of growth in this sort of thing. As I use it more, I expect I'll write more of it.
And there is something very Adamsish about a penguin wearing a wristwatch. Look out for green pieces of paper.
