So, What Happened To Those Congressional Democrats in SecondLife?
If Prok sent you here, introduce her to the concept of 'dual citizen'.
As Reuters reported in 'Congressional Democrats’ agenda gets SL stage', the Democrats had their own SecondLife coming out party. Business Communicators of SecondLife also has a good writeup beforehand.
Apparently, they also expelled someone who appeared to be a bit of a jerk. But that seems to be about all I could find on this 'momentous event', and it didn't sound very impressive. From the lack of coverage, I would have to say that this was a bit of a flop. If people were invited, they didn't write much about it. It is the day after. Interns have been flipped faster than that.
While it seems intuitive that this may have been built on hype of 2 million instead of the realistic figure of 252,284, this apparently was 'invitation only' so the lack of people and representation easily translates to a lack of information the morning after.
At least one of the invitees had 'fun' - and if someone was paying attention, they learned that maybe they invited the wrong people.
I suppose the start of U.S. politics within SecondLife started off with more of a whimper than a bang.
