SecondLife Update 1.13.0.10
Yeah, anyone logging in knows that Second Life 1.13.0.10 is a required update. Nobody had his body, his money, and could teleport. The search tab for places is still reporting 'service unavailable'.
Oh well. Linden Lab did fix some bugs, and they're prioritizing - understandably so. They report that the following bugs were fixed:
- Fixed Search dialog running queries when opened
- Fixed inventory showing not-worn items as worn
- Fixed IM window resizing when closing/opening session
- Fixed missing languages in Preferences
The inventory worn/not worn IS fixed, the IM windows resizing appears to be working right, and yes - the search dialog, aside from the 'places' tab, is working ok. I didn't even notice the missing languages in preferences, but that's because I'm a default anglophone. I'd say that the latter is pretty important to quite a few people... last published statistics on SL were that 55% of the residents were not from the US (and I would love for Linden Lab to publish the country/language statistics! HINT. HINT. WINK. NUDGE. NUDGE).
With 14,240 logged in as I write this, everything seems to be ok other than the 'search places' functionality. I teleported here and there a few times just to check that out, and thankfully it appears to be working well. Doing this on Tuesday was a bit of a surprise for me, and I hope that it means that there won't be another client to download tomorrow - but if it fixes the Places tab, it would be worth it. I'm betting that the Places tab is on the server end, though, or they would have waited for client release.
I'm flipping back and forth working on some PHP and XML-RPC with a side order of Drupal; everything seems to be stable. I suppose we'll see this evening when the rush of people are trying to update the client and log in. If I find anything bad, I'll tack a comment on here.

Seems like everything is working. More importantly, my code is working.
There's something very nice about delivering code to someone. :-D
