The Nintendo Wii - Build Your Own Wireless Wii Sensor Bar

OK, all you folks who have or a planning to get a - looks like a little hardware hacking can give you some more distance for your sensor bar than the stock cable.

The Homemade Wireless Wii Sensor Bar apparently works, and could be neatened up a bit I suppose - but proof of concept is usually not very pretty.

So now, your Nintendo Wii can not only run Linux, it can also be used across the room without having to buy a 3rd party controller. Most people will probably end up buying a wireless controller anyway, but for those who are more interested in how things work and how to get things to work - well, here's one hardware hack. When knowledge can lead to practical solutions, it's more valuable than money.
