Taking On The Three of the Four Horsemen

In 'Climate change may kill millions in Africa: report, it seems that a Christian organization is (oddly enough) taking on the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse as it pertains to Africa. It just sort of leapt out at me (emphasis, mine):

..."In this sense, the environment is too important to be left to the environmentalists," Christian Aid said, declaring that it was switching its campaign goals to focus on the four great effects of global warming -- pestilence, floods, famine and war...

That's really good writing, in my book - it allows a reader to make a leap without spelling it out. Good stuff, Jeremy Lovell. And the entire article makes sense in that context as well - as does the problem. I'm not a big fan of religious NGOs distributing things, but I don't think that has ever withheld aid because of religion (unlike other groups). So I'd say that putting this into a Christian religious context probably has definite advantages.

It also makes one think. Why not take on the White horse as well, instead of just the Black Horse and the Pale Horse? According to the Bible, they all come together.

Conquest, War, Scarcity, Death. A recurring theme? Maybe. Interesting to think about.
