Participation, Commerce, Digital Divide and a side order of Technology.

Browsing around the internet through the links to the right (yeah, over there ->), there were a few things that had common themes but separate topics.

Read 'A New Path To Profit', and consider how businesses made money in the past by including people - and making things affordable. Suhit didn't mention Ford Motor Company, which made manufacture of vehicles cheap enough for people to be able to afford them. Well, that was the idea, anyway. Mass production.

Now read 'Disentangling engagement, participation, democracy, with added e-', and you see how participation is important in a lot of other things.

Now - how much of the business drives the participation?

Maybe that is the problem.
