At the time when all hell broke loose, getting or giving information became a nightmare. Coordinating help became another catastrophe.
So instead of stuffing bags with relief supplies kindly donated by Sri Lankan and the world and sending it to all the work places, a group of IT professionals put their core competencies to work.
Five sleepless days later, a team of programmes and other IT experts pieced together a set of internet enabled tools for disaster relief coordination. Now they are taking it to the next level.
