Life, the Universe, and Everything: The Website

There are a few people on this planet that I 'click' with, that allow me to be more through them being themselves. Willy Smith (pictured) and his wife, Dawn, are two such people. He and I are both former editors of LinuxGazette.com and A42.com, and that's not where the commonality ends - in fact, that's just a result of the base commonality. The time I spent with them in Panama City, Panama last year was priceless; I learned more from both of them in two disjointed months than I have from others in much longer periods. They kick ideas around as if they were competing for the World Cup every year, and that's not just a healthy atmosphere for me: It's downright inspirational. It's a little corner of my world that I can play with my legos in peace while the world destroys itself. :-)

In that spirit, they started , and in the spirit of what Willy envisioned of A42.com, it's beginning without the interference of a controlling entity. It's a nexus of technology, art, and imagination. It's where Willy writes about his experiments with , where Dawn has started her , how Willy used Used an iPAQ as a modem over Bluetooth...

And probably, the best kept secret on the internet: , the chinchilla who started the CNU movement (Chinchilla's Not Unix, a non-recursive TLA).

While Willy is recovering from some surgery (it wasn't brain surgery, that we know...), he tossed up a general idea of what he's thinking about here.

I think you should go check out a pair of the more original minds I have encountered in the 34 years of visiting this planet. :-)
