MBlog Sets the record straight.
As I've been exploring the more mature blogosphere (relative to last year), I'm finding some really good weblogs out there. MBlog is one such example.
The topic that caught my eye was the Not A Retraction post, which in turn pointed to Informed Consent's post, Bush and the Tsunami. Hacking the numbers backwards from the latter post, it seems that the new $350 million in aid works out to $1.16 per capita of the U.S.
Now before people start getting defensive, let's all agree that the American Public hasn't been screwing around waiting for the government to do the right thing - the American Public has been contributing in a model way. The American Public has a tendency to do that, just as the Earth Public does. What bothers me at times are posts such as this and this. It's the attitude of 'we have to police the world' and 'we are better than you and everyone else' that stinks.
Interesting stuff at MBlog. Now to add it to the links...
