Caymanian Compass: Beware the Blogs!

Too funny:

...The unfortunate thing about blogs is that they are done anonymously. Anyone can say anything about anyone or any institution, whether or not it’s true.

Many statements on blogs can be considered libellous.

Aside from the legal issue of libel, much of what is posted on blogs are downright lies.

Another unfortunate thing is that these blogs are seen all over the world.

One has to wonder how many potentially good police men or women have considered a job in the Cayman Islands only to toss that notion aside because they read something negative and possibly untrue about the RCIP on the Cayman Cop blog...

Source? . The Editor.

Quick, all potential police officers surfing the internet... DON'T READ THESE BLOGS! They're horrid things! Just read the trustworthy stuff that people charge you money for, that are subject to editorial censorship! Maybe he's been watching Fox News reruns, or worse - reading major press items that talk about how bad the Wikipedia is. But an editor should know the difference between a blog and the Wikipedia. :-)

Well, at least the Cayman Islands recognizes weblogs...

Tip of the hat to The Mad Bull for finding that one... we can all now tell people not to read the Caymanian Compass looks at 2 blogs out of millions and calls it investigative reporting. That's OK, we wouldn't want him to tax himself... drink some more Kool-Aid.
