Paid and Paid
The Ethical Dilemma finally resolved itself, silently, this morning. I wasn't expecting it, really - checking the account was a bit of an afterthought, since I woke up with another project in mind. When that money was there, it threw everything off axis. Unlike the people who sent the money, I am honor bound to pay my bills in a timely manner - which I hadn't because... Ahh, well. I was also honor bound to put the website back online, and hand over the passwords.
There was no response about the sending of the passwords. There was no response beforehand. So I tossed in a free lecture in how people shouldn't be treated with the passwords as a bonus.
So, I was paid. And I paid my lovely creditors. If you felt a faint change in the economy, that was it. A small spike as some money was pumped through the global economy. Lub dub, lub dub. But during all of this, what didn't occur to me was... what day it was.
It was not until an hour before Monk was going to come on until I figured out it was Friday. I was completely on relative time today, despite some major hints here and there. I was just... focused. Things to do, things to get done that had to be done and that I had pre-programmed myself to do. It happened, I kicked into gear, and... without even a thought, I proceeded.
I suppose my beat is to a different drum. :-)
