Declaration of Intent: MobileActive Vision Statement from Toronto Meeting

If anyone asks what MobileActive is about you can send them the following SMS.....

"Mobile phones serve Communication. Communication serves Humanity. Humanity serves Humanity. Mobile phones: tech4people changing the world."

The message is 160 characters so it can be sent via cell phone. However, what does it mean and where does it come from?The participants at the MobileActive conference worked on many projects and ideas. Groups developed and explored new ways cell phones could be used to connect people to each other and connect people to social change. Guiding each of these breakout groups and work sessions was a commitment to something larger then the individual projects.  A small group broke off to draft and word smith that larger vision.
