Exploring The BBC's Human Body and Mind.

The BBC has a really cool site about the Human Body and Mind, which I've been meaning to check out - and finally had the chance to explore a bit. Of course, it probably helps that I have become interested in things Robert Winston is involved in, after reading his book, Human Instinct.

So I started off with the human mind section. The personality test showed me as a Mastermind. That fits the fact that I always test as an INTJ in these sorts of tests. At least I'm consistent.

Next up - seeing if I could spot a fake smile. Hmm. 13 out of 20.

And yeah, I am a synaesthete as well. I see colors in music, and even in conversation. Some people have light voices and dark voices, but to be confused with light and heavy. For example, I spoke with my boss on the phone the other day, and his voice sounded relatively light. I don't know how he will take that, but... it was sort of a blue with some red. What does it mean? Nothing, I guess. It is what it is. Anyways, there's a cool test here about sound, color and word association.

My personal favourite is the Necker Cube Experiment. The thing kept flipping, I didn't have to think about it at all.

In the Brain Sex test (how can any self respecting introvert pass THAT up?!), I confused the test. I got everything right. So somewhere, someone thinks I'm a neutral gender. Or something. Weird. Bad test. Good name.

Worth exploring the site. That's just the mind aspect, too. What's really cool about this is that somewhere, there are groups of people trying to figure out why we do the things we do. And hopefully they aren't all marketers who will sell us more crap we don't need... hopefully it will help with the greatest problem to plague mankind: The inability to communicate meaningfully.
